Stair Lifts

Bruno Stairlift
Bruno Electra-Ride Elite Stair Lift

Often referred to as chair lifts. A seat that runs on a rail attached to stairs that carries an individual up and down. Powered by batteries that are replaced approximately every 4-6 years, so you aren’t stranded during a power outage. Available for both straight and curved stairways. Seats swivel for fall prevention at the top of the stairs. Most seats fold up to allow access for those persons not using the stairlift. Optional motorized swivel on some models (this cannot be added to a previously installed model).

Ceiling Track Lifts

Track runs along the ceiling with a lift either permanently attached to the track or a portable lift that can be removed and reattached when needed in another room if track does not connect or if person resides in more than onetion. Used to easily transport person from one room to another with no risk of back injury to caregiver and the safest means of transfering the person with disability from one location to another. Bed to bath, to living area. Own residence, parents home, vacation home.

Vertical Platform Lifts

Units can be installed inside the residence or as an exterior lift.
Typically used to gain entrance from ground level to entryway of home or office, but can also be used for access to another floor or basement from main level. Optional phone can be installed in case of emergency.

A space saving solution for outside as it eliminates the need for long ramps.
These can be residential or commercial. While there are code issues and therefore more limitations when it comes to commercial construction, there are more options for use in renovation of existing structures.

Inclined Platform Lifts

Allows a person in a wheelchair to access another level while remaining in his or her wheelchair. Rides up existing stairways and capable of navigating turns (commercial applications only) when space allows. Because of the space requirements, these are seen less often than other types of lifts. Great for moving into “sunken” rooms within a household or descending/ ascending wide stairwells. Travels on a rail system mounted to the wall or to towers between steps.

Residential Elevators

Carry persons, wheelchairs and equipment from one level to another. Available in a multitude of finishes with optional and . Will provide transport to a maximum of five levels. The are designed for low rise and low occupancy buildings. It is fully automatic in operation and is very similar in look and feel to larger commercial elevators.

LU/LA Elevators

Limited Use Limited Application commercial variety is recommended for any public building that does not have elevators for the general public in order to be ADA compliant.

Come in many shapes and sizes. Starting with threshold ramps that enable a wheelchair to smoothly ride over the usual lip you find at most doorways to 10’ channel ramps that get you up your front stairs. A portable solution, suitcase ramps of varying lengths can be folded up and have a carrying handle. Modular aluminum ramps can address most accessibility challenges that portable ramps cannot. Also available are commercial code ADA compliant aluminum ramps.

Various models have controls adapted for special needs ie) keyless entry, push- button or push plate wall styles, radio controlled or sip and puff controls. Safely and quickly, a smaller person can move a larger person down stairs and out of a building. Easy to store and intuitive to use. The best one on the market today.

Dumbwaiters

Transport heavy or bulky items from one level to the next with a minimum of lugging and tugging. Laundry, groceries, firewood…Requires a shaftway to house the lift. You’ll wonder how you managed without one.
