Commercial Elevators (LU/LA)

TK Access Evolution
A number of our vendors manufacture a Limited Use/Limited Access Elevator (LU/LA), which is intended for access for disabled individuals in low occupancy public buildings of 3 stories or less. These elevators are ASME A17.1 code compliant.. LULA elevators are a low cost solution where an elevator access is necessary but a passenger elevator may not be required. Be sure to check your local and state codes to ascertain whether a passenger elevator is mandated.
Barrier Free Systems has staff on hand that are well-versed in building code and commercial applications for elevators. Federal and state code information links can usually be found on most vendor sites.
